MY BUCKET LIST
don’t let perfection get in the way of creating.
As I headed into the start of the fall season, I couldn’t help but notice my own resistance. I saw over 20 unpublished articles on my blog. One of the them was about my bucket list, a draft I started in October 2017 when I first started my blog. How could I let 4 years pass? What was holding me back from writing?
Sometimes what scares us the most is exactly what we need to lean into. It’s the practice of unsurfacing these fears allows you to grow. These are the moments of challenge that shape who you are and who you’re meant to be.
A bucket list is not necessarily about achieving, but being. It’s about doing things that bring lightheartedness, adventure, and peace to your life.
My current life is not at all what I ever expected it to be, but somehow, everything is starting to line up. I’ve met so many inspiring writers and creators that have encouraged me to be even more of myself.
This post is my written commitment to allowing myself to show up as my authentic self without overthinking or overdoing. Life is about living and not about trying to predict or control what happens next. Life is a lot like writing – after all, you can always publish, and edit later.
